1977 Buick Nighthawk [ Main H-Body Page ] [ Hatch Lift Experience ]
This was another Craig' list find. The original listing stated, "WAS IN THE BARN FOR 10 OR MORE YEARS V6 1977 VERY RARE BUICK NIGHTHAWK BODY LIKE THE CHEVY MONZA RUNS BUT THE GAS TANK HAS A HOLE IN IT VERY GOOD BLACK INTERIOR ORIGINAL BLACK PAINT ON BODY." I actually bought this car for $450 to be used for parts for my Monza project but after I got it home, decoded the VIN, and realized the rarity of this particular H-body model, I left it as is and parked it under cover. Only 1,383 Nighthawks were ever made! No clue how many are still on the road. The previous owner kept the radiator as well as the front and rear sway bars, the gas tank was rotted out, and as you can see in the pictures, the floor pans in the front are rotted out. With other projects taking priority of time and money, this car will be sitting until I decide what to do with her.
